Abstract

We reported a child with radiologic suggestion of cerebellitis, but without neurologic symptoms, especially pure cerebellar sign. The magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) and laboratory findings of a 9-year-old boy with acute cerebellitis were described. Diffuse white and gray matter lesions in both cerebellar hemispheres visualized by MRI in the acute phase, disappeared in the recovery phase. Clinical symptoms improved within 3 days after steroid therapy only. And follow up MRI revealed no evidence of cerebellar lesions after 1 month.
