Abstract

Larynx cancer is a head and neck cancer that affects the voice box. It can be treated using various techniques, including surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. On the other hand, these treatments often result in significant morbidity and can negatively impact the patient’s quality of life. Laser treatment for larynx cancer is a promising alternative that offers the precise removal of cancerous tissue, preservation of healthy tissue, and reduced risk of complications compared to traditional treatments. This paper provides an overview of the benefits and risks of laser treatment for larynx cancer and discusses the scientific evidence supporting its use. Multiple studies have shown that laser treatment effectively removes cancerous tissue and preserves the patient’s voice, with a low risk of complications. While laser treatment for larynx cancer is not without risks, it offers a promising option for patients seeking a minimally invasive approach to their treatment.
