A Case of Occupational Asthma and Rhinitis Induced by Ethylene Bis-stearamide

Abstract

Occupational asthma is defined as asthma caused by the repeated inhalation of agents generated at the work place. Even though numerous new agents causing occupational asthma have been reported continuously until now, there have been few reports of ethylene bis-stearamide-induced occupational asthma. Here, we report a case of occupational asthma induced by ethylene bis-stearamide that was confirmed by the bronchial provocation test in a worker at wax-manufacturing factory.
