Abstract
- Torsion of the fatty appendage of the falciform ligament is very rare disease that produces acute abdominal pain. Ultrasound or computed tomography (CT) is used to diagnose a torted fatty appendage of the falciform ligament. This condition can usually be treated conservatively with symptomatic care if it is recognized in an early stage. We report a case of torsion of the falciform ligament appendage following endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, treated conservatively after it was diagnosed by ultrasound and CT.
