Abstract

Adenolipoma of the thyroid gland, also called thyrolipoma, is an extremely rare neoplasm characterized by encapsulated or tumorous mass of admixtures of mature adipose tissue and thyroid tissue. Only a few scattered cases have been reported in English literatures. It should be differentiated with encapsulated papillary carcinoma, follicular neoplasm and liposarcoma. We report an additional case of an adenolipoma of the thyroid gland.
