The radiographic observation of the cervical strain

Abstract

A total of 100 cases of cervical disorders were analysed of clinical signs and symptoms. The cervical strainis proved by the loss of normal lordotic curvature of the cervical spinal column on the lateral X-ray film in Ewha University Hospital from january, 1970 to december 1971 with the following results. 1. The 53 cervical strain was diagnosed in radiographic study for its abnormal locations. The hyperextension with abnormal curve is twice more after than hyperflection type. 2. The most frequent location of the cervical strain is demonstrated in the 4-6th cervical spinal bodies (80%). 3. Most pronounced symptoms of cervical, strain are local tenderness (40%),limitation of motion (17%) and radiating pain (15%). 4. The ratio of the sex incidence of male femal was 3:2.
