Convenience of infrapubic approach in inflatable penile prosthetic implantation

Abstract
- Implantation of a penile prosthesis can be performed through a variety of surgical approaches. We placed inflatable penile prostheses by the infrapubic approach in seven patients. There were no intraoperative problems or postoperative complications. The primary advantage of infrapubic approach is that it permits implantation of the reservoir under direct vision. This approach compares well with the penoscrotal incision for implantation of an inflatable prosthesis.
