Abstract

Pleomorphic adenoma is the most common benign tumor of the major salivary gland. It can develop from the minor salivary glands of oral cavity, pharynx, larynx, and very rarely in the esophagus, the lacrimal gland, the trachea and the mediastinum. P leomorphic adenoma may occur from the modified sweat gland (ceruminal gland) in the external auditory canal as ceruminomas, but is extremely rare in the auricle. We experienced a case of pleomorphic adenoma in the auricle and report it with a review of the literature.
