Development of Obesity Educator Training Program and Certification of Obesity Educators

Abstract
- The Committee of Education of the Korean Society for the study of obesity discussed the need to develop the Obesity Educator Training Program and Certification of Obesity Educators. We reviewed the current status of certifications of obesity management specialists and the diabetes educator training module, which was successfully developed in 2011 by Korean Diabetes Association. This effort is expected to serve as the basic foundation for the development of obesity educator training program and certification of obesity educators.
