Abstract
-
Acquired digital fibrokeratoma is a benign tumor of fibrous tissue that is usually found on the distal extremities. It is characterized by solitary flesh-colored hyperkeratotic hornlike projection with a surrounding collarette of raised skin at the base. Histopathologic findings include thick interwoven dermal collagen bundles oriented along the vertical axis of the lesion. The epidermis shows marked hyperkeratosis and acanthosis with thickened, often branching rete ridges. We report four cases of acquired digital fibrokeratoma.
