A Case of Giant Cell Tumor in Lumbosacral Spinal Canal

Abstract
- True giant cell tumors are uncommon. They arise most frequently in the long bones and vertebral localization is much less common, particularly in spinal canal. The authors experienced and observed a case of giant cell tumor in lumbosacral spinal canal with a origin of the sacrum. A 25 year old female patient, suffering from severe low back pain associated with radiation pain to posterior aspect of both legs, was diagnosed as a giant cell tumor and treated with total laminectomy with radical removal of mass and radiotherapy resulting in good prognosis. And the literatures were reviewed.
