Abstract

There are many method in assessing autonomic dysfunction. The gastric emptying time (GET1/2) is tried in order to identify autonomic dysfunction in Parkinson's disease, The gastric emptying half time(GET1/2) was measured in 12 patients of Parkinson's disease (4 men, 8 women) and 10 control group(3 men, 7 women). It was noticed that the GET1/2 of parkinsonian patients(mean, 124.0+15.8min) was delayed significantly than that of the controls(mean, 89.4+19.7 mn). We concluded that the GET1/2 can be used for measuring the autonomic dysfunction in Parkinson's disease.
