Abstract

Axillary hyperhidrosis is a troublesome disorder of excessive perspiration, which affects as much as 1 % of the population, and characterized by profuse sweating and the occasional wetting of clothes. Unpleasant odors and profuse sweating characterize axillary osmidrosis. Both diseases can cause serious social, professional, and psychological problems. There are several methods for treating hyperhidrosis and osmidrosis. However, no single treatment is without its weakness or complications. We report our experience on the treatment of compensatory axillary hyperhidrosis and bromhidrosis using a modified superficial liposuction technique.
