Renal Angiomyolipoma with the Regional Lymph Nodes Involvement

Abstract
- A 21-year-old woman, suspected of having a left renal mass on excretory urography, was referred to our hospital. Computed tomography of the abdomen demonstrated scattered areas of low density compatible with fat inside the tumor and enhanced outside by contrast media. Also regional lymph nodes were enlarged. Angiography showed avascular renal mass. Preoperative diagnosis was malignant umor of kidney with lymph node metastasis or angiomyolipoma involving the tkidney and the lymph nodes. Left radical nephrectomy was undertaken. Microscopic examination revealed angiomyolipomas of the kidney and the regional lymph nodes. The tumors of the lymph nodes are considered to originate multicentrically with that of the kidney. This is the first reported case of multicentric angiomyolipoma in Korea.
