Pregnancy in patients with primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) is uncommon and only a few cases have been reported in the world literature. Thus, there is no report on the outcome and natural history of pregnancy in patients with primary biliary cirrhosis. Here, we report a case of stillbirth in a young woman with primary biliary cirrhosis. A 26-year-old primipara woman was admitted to our hospital with generalized pruritus and fatigue. She had a history of stillbirth, six months prior to admission. On admission, alkaline phosphatase and gamma-GT were elevated and anti-mitochondrial antibody was positive. According to the laboratory findings and liver biospy, primary biliary cirrhosis was diagnosed. Clinical symptoms and laboratory findings were improved after three months of urosodeoxycholic acid administration. We think that her stillbirth may be related to the condition of primary biliary cirrhosis.
