Abstract

Due to an increase of a number of elderly population and long term care facilities, the needs to provide health care service for elderly is steadily growing in Korea. Despite some issues related to existing doctors who visit to those facilities regularly, they would be key players to give appropriate medical services for the elders once it is systematically set up to improve their working environments with the revision of related regulation. To do this, it is significant for the government, medical doctors, medical personnel and the pertinent staff members to work together seriously, aiming at well implementing the newly revised the visiting doctors’ system in the real world.
