Prevention of Coronary Artery Perforation and Its Treatment During CTO PCI: Study of Effective Coiling for Distal and Collateral Perforations

Abstract

Coronary perforation is one of frequent complications during chronic total occlusion percutaneous coronary intervention. Coil embolization is an effective method, especially for distal and collateral perforations. We need secondary treatment for large and irregular shaped perforation, especially it expanded toward basement in the septal perforation and any kind of perforation of epicardial channel greater than Ellis grade type II.
