Macrodactyly: 3 Cases Report

Abstract

Macrodactyly is one of the more unusual and interesting congenital anomaly characterized by an increase in the size of all the elements or structures of digit or digits. The condition was first described by Power in 1840. Since that time, over 93 cases have been reported. The authors has treated 2 cases of macrodactyly manus and 1 case of macrodactyly tarsus, which were treated with multiple defatting procedures and amputations. The purpose of this article is to report an additional cases along with review of previous literatures,
