Abstract

Apert described acrocephalosyndactyly as a clinical entity in 1906. The classic description of this syndrome includes patients with a combination of acrocephaly and syndactyly of either fingers toes or both. Since Apert's original description there have been more than 200 cases reported in the world and two cases in Korea. The auther has experienced a case of typical Apert's syndrome and treated the case by web plasty on the first and second webs of the right hand, derotation osteotomy on the first metacarpal and linear craniectomy of the skull. This one case was reported on this paper with brief review of the relevant literatures.
