Abstract
- Myocarditis is a precursor of dilated cardiomyopathy. Aberrant cellular and humoral immune response have been proposed as possible mechanism in postviral myocarditis, but treatment option are limited and efficacy of immunosuppressant has not been clearly established. In this report, we described the results of clinical experience about a 57-year-old patient with acute fuminant myocarditis who improved significantly after short-term treatment with corticosteroid.
