Intrathoracic kidney mimicking a mass in the base of the lung: A case report

Abstract

Intrathoracic kidney is a very rare developmental anomaly, and to our best knowledge no cases has beenreported in koea. We report a case of an ectopic thoracic kidney which presented as a mass in the right lowerchest in an asymptomatic 10-month-old infant. This anomaly should be correctly recognized because it may saveextensive examinations and possible unnecessary surgery.
