Stress fractures in lower leg

Abstract

Clinical and radiological analysis were made on 74 cases of stress fractures in tibia and fibula among theKorean soldiers. Right tibia were involved in 33 cases and left tibia were involved in 25 cases. Bilateralinvolvements in tibia were in 6 cases and fibula were involved in 4 cases. Cortical break or crack, periosteal newbone formation and scleortic band suggesting endosteal callus formation were major radiologial findings.
