Abstract
- Porokeratosis is a disorder of epidermal keratinization that is characterized by variably sized macules and plaques with elevated borders, which show cornoid lamellae on the histopathogic examination. It has been suggested that certain external agents, including ultraviolet radiation, immunosuppression and hepatitis C virus infection, may contribute to the development of porokeratosis. The occurrences of porokeratosis in organ transplanted and immunosuppressed patients have been reported previously. We herein describe a 59-year-old female heart recipient who showed combined features of porokeratosis of Mibelli and disseminated superficial actinic porokeratosis.
