Abstract

Vaginal leiomyoma is a rare tumor with a variable clinical presentation and broad differential diagnosis that can lead to preoperative misdiagnosis. We present a case of vaginal leiomyoma at the anterior vaginal wall. A 24-year-old woman presented with a 2-year history of deteriorating sensation of prolapse. A clinical examination revealed a mobile 5x4 cm mass that arose from the anterior vaginal wall. She underwent transvaginal ultrasonography, cystoscopy, and CT scan, which should be considered in the evaluation of anterior wall vaginal mass. The mass was excised via a vaginal approach and was pathologically confirmed as a leiomyoma.
