Abstract

Antimicrobial activities of rifampicin, erythromycin, tetracycline and doxycycline commonly used antimicrobials, against the chlamydia trachomatis isolated in l984-1985 from various clinical materials, were tested by tissue culture method. The minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) of rifampicin against foreign and domestic isolated strains were not different from each other and similar to the results with other authors` studies but MIC of erythromycin, tetracycline and doxycycline to Korean isolated strains were significantly higher than those to foreign strains. Not remarkable differences of MIC of above agents to the strains of various immunotype were noticed.
