Abstract

Behcet's disease is multi-systemic vasculitis affecting all sizes of arteries and veins. The prevalence of coronary artery involvement in Behcet's disease is extremely rare. A 43-year-old man with seven-year history of Behcet's disease was hospitalized with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). He has no risk factors of coronary artery disease. Coronary angiography revealed near total occlusion at the proximal portion of the left anterior descending artery (LAD). The patient was successfully treated by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
