Abstract

Loop electrosurgical excisional procedure (LEEP) is a well known and effective method for the treatment of precancerous lesion of cervix. It has the advantage of being simultaneously diagnostic and therapeutic. Complications of the LEEP are usually few and mild, mainly bleeding, discomfort and infection. The vesicovaginal fistula, which occurres as a consequence of LEEP is very rare condition that has not been reported in Korea. We present a case of vesicovaginal fistula that resulted from LEEP with a brief review of the literature.
