A Case of Pregnant Woman with Non-Hodgkin`s Lymphoma

Abstract

The occurrence of non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma during pregnancy is very rare since the peak incidence of the non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma appears after childbearing age. And the diagnosis of non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma during pregnancy may often be difficult because its symptoms may be masked by the pregnancy, the using of methods for the diagnosis may be limited, physiologic and anatomic changes occur. Recently systemic combination chemotherapy of non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma has induced high complete remission rate and long term disease free survival. However, only few cases of successful treatment and the outcomes were reported. We experienced a case of 32 year old pregnant woman diagnosed as having diffuse large B cell type non-Hodgkin`s lymphoma, who was taken combination chemotherapy with CVP regimen (cytoxan, prednisolone, vincristine) and delivered of a 3190 gm, healthy female baby. So, we report this case with brief review of the literatures.
