Abstract
- Cutaneous paraneoplastic syndromes are the non-contiguous skin and mucous membrane changes that are caused by internal malignancy. Since they may be the first sign of a new or recurrent malignancy, recognizing their features and clinical implication is very important. We describe three patients with internal malignancy such as stomach adenocarcinoma or biliary tract adenocarcinoma who showed coexistence of acanthosis nigricans, tripe palms, and cutaneous florid papillomatosis. We reviewed the literatures about these cutaneous paraneoplastic syndromes and discussed their relationship between this striking cutaneous manifestations and internal malignancy.
