Abstract

Suprachoriodal hemorrhage is rare but devastating complication associated with intraocular surgery. We know risk factors but it is difficult to predict the occurrence of suprachoroidal hemorrhage. We experienced a case of suprachoriodal hemorrhage and retinal detachment during tabeculectomy which was treated with pars plana vitrectomy, silicone oil injection, and posterior sclerotomy, followed by reattachment of retina and choroid. When high risk patients for suprachoroidal hemorrhage are considered for surgery, adequate preoperative and perioperative management are mandatory.
