Abstract
- Inland groin flap was used for satisfactory reconstruction of skin defects in 6 patients with penile foreign body granuloma. This flap has several advantages: simple operation, wide range of coverage, large rotation arc, direct closure of donor site, an abundance of lymphatic vessels.
Using this technique, 5 flaps survived completely with satisfactory results, the distal portion of the another one flap necrosed and was resected and resurfaced with a free skin graft; final result was good. We think that island groin flap is an alternative method to repair wide skin defects in patients with penile foreign body granuloma. Experience with an island groin flap are described.
