Abstract

Erection and ejaculatory response to penile stimulation by vibration were investigated in 172 patients with erectile dysfunction(psychogenic in 78 and vasculogenic in 94). The vibration stimulation to the peins was not helpful to discriminate the psychogenic impotence from the organic because of its high incidence(65.6%) of false negative response in the psychogenic impotence. The better the erection response to the vibration stimulation, the better also the ejaculation response to the vibration stimulation in the psychogenic impotence. In case the disorder of the peripheral nerve conduction was presumed such as peripheral neurogenic, traumatic and diabetogenic impotence, the ejaculation response was particularly worse. The older the patients, the worse the ejaculation response regardless of the etiology of erectile dysfunction.
