Sudoriferous Cyst of the Orbit

Abstract

Sudoriferous cyst usually occurs on the face, and occasionally on the ear and scalp as 8 solitary, translucent, and cystic nodule. In the lid it originates from 3 blocked excretory duct of a Moll`s gland therefore, it typically occurs at the lid margin. But it rarely appears in the orbit. A 3 year-old girl had 8 cystic mass in the inferior orbit of left eye that had been present since birth. Histopathologic examination confirmed diagnosis of a sudoriferous cyst.
