Abstract

The pain due to spinal stenosis is one of the major causes of low back pain, which sometimes does not respond to conservative treatment. A case of spinal stenosis pain was experienced and treated successfully with anterior epidural irrigation, which had not responded to conservative treatment, such as NSAID, epidural block, sympathetic block and selective transforaminal epidural block. Anterior epidural irrigation was performed with normal saline and a mixture of local anesthetic, with steroid, through a catheter under fluoroscopic guidance.
