Abstract

Abnormal movement may be a clinical feature in complex regional pain syndromes, but their basic natures are unclear. A 36-year-old female patient, presented with an involuntary movement of the right low extremity, following a motorcycle injury 2 year previously. She suffered from a tremor of the right lower extremity, which lasted for 30-40 minutes, and occurred 3-4 times a day. The tremor was treated with Madopar(R), which caused the tremor to dramatically disappear. This finding suggests that this patient had an underlying movement disorder which was unmasked by the peripheral injury.
