Abstract

Wandering spleen is a rare condition characterized by migration of the spleen from its normal position due to long splenic mesentery. Sonography shows absence of the spleen in left upper quadrant and a soft tissue mass resembling spleen in the umbilicus or lower abdomen. We present a case of wandering spleen, which could be diagnosed with sonography by the detection of reversed splenic hilum.
