Abstract
- Paraffin injection for penile augmentation and the resulting complications are not rare in Korea.
The only successful therapy for a complicated penile paraffinoma is adequate surgical excision of the involved tissue and repair of the denuded penis. The classic mode of surgical treatment is a skin autogeaft or pedicle graft (scrotal skin flap). In a series of 22 patients, 12 were managed by total excision and primary closure, 2 by a modified Cecil's technique, 4 by bilateral pedicle scrotal flaps, 1 by the apron method and 1 by a free penile paraffinoma is complete excision and adequate skin autografting using the technique the surgeon prefers.
