Abstract

Strangulation may develop after application of a constricting steel bearing around the penis, resulting in gangrene and necrosis. There is occasional marked skin necrosis and urethral injury, and repair present a great challenge to the urologist. We report a case of removal of a metal ring from the penis using a linear saw in a 19-year-old man and review the literature.
