A Case of Priapism by Penile Metal Ring

Abstract

A metal ring which encircles the shaft of the penis is not infrequently encountered in urological patients. This ring can produce priapism, anoxic change which result in penile gangrene, urethral injury or impotence. And then, urge management should be done before anoxic change begin. We report a case of priapism due to penile metal ring which unable to cut with cutting instrument in a 63-year-old man. This ring successfully removed from penis by repeated punctures and compression of corpus cavernosum.
