Abstract

Traumatic impotent patients with urethral injury may result in urethral stricture so the classic treatment by penile prosthetic devices has not always been the most acceptable. The recent development in microvascular surgery permitted revascularization of corpora cavernosa to provide normal blood flow and maintain penile tumescence in good result. In order to perform microscopic penile revasculanzation, we investigated the cause of impotence by intimal pudendal angiography and bulbocavernous reflex latency in 4 impotent patients with urethral injury following blunt pelvic trauma. All patients revealed vascular lesions and 2 patients revealed abnormal latency in bulbocavernous reflex tracing.
