Three percent of cerebral irlfarctions occur in persons aged 45 or less. The cause of them is greatly diverse. Blunt arterial trauma is recognized as one of the potential cause of cerebral infarction among young adult. Because of the delay between the traumatic event and stroke, an association with injury may be elicited only by careful history t.aking. We report one case of cerebral infarction caused by carotid embolism following blunt neck trauma in 19-year-old man.
