Abstract

We have recently seen a myasthenic syndrome occurring in a mother, four out of five children, a young woman of non-blood relative. All developed this disease between April and June, 1967, and responded dramatically to tensilon test and treatment with mestinon. We reviewed hospital records of all myasthenic patients, and picked up two more families with myasthenic syndrome. In these cases the myasthenic syndrome occurred in all members of the families. They also responded to nestiginine test and anticholinesterase treatment but not to the placebo tests.
