A Case of Multiple Fungous Infection of the Skin
Abstract
- A case of multiple fungous infection of the skin in 34 year old male is reported The skin lesions of the patient were seated on the buttock and finger and toe nails The lesions on the buttock were relatively well marginated, erythematous, and scaly patches with slight elevation on periphery And all of the finger and toe nails except left index finger were brittile, grooved, thickened, and partially destructed. Mycologic culture of the sample on the Sabouraud's dextroso. Agar media revealed trichophyton mentagrophytes from nail lesions and epidermophyton flcccosum from buttock site Cornplete healing was observed by oral admin itration of the Griseofulvin tablet 1.5 gm, daily for 8 weeks and 1.0 gm, daily for 8 weeks, totally 140 gm, in 16 weeks
