On the Erythema Blastomycoticum Labiale
Abstract
- We are interested in some cases of eczematous lip dermatose. Subjn:tive symptoms are slight itching, heat and dryness, the affected sites indicate sharp outline, scaling and fissuring. Occassionally the lesions show a marked tendency to become irritated by saliva and licking. Always can be demonstrable the fungi in scales and saliva by microscopic and cultural methods. Dermatose is sometimes annoying and persistant, but prognosis under proper therapy(avoid of irritation, ultraviolet rays and fungicidal agents) is almost excellent. We think it undependent mycotic dermatose of mouth lip, by its characteristics. propose to designate as "Erythema Blastomycoticum labiale.
