Hereditary angioedema is characterized by recurrent angloedema involving any part of body especially extremities and inherited. as autosomal dominant trait. In case of laryngeal angioedema,, life-threatening result can occur, so its early diagnosis is crucial. Serum C4 measurement can be used as a screening method, and C1EI level (common form, 85 %) with its functional assay, C1EI activity (variant form, 15 %) can be used as a confirmative method. We report 43 year-old female patient with hereditary angioedema who had a history of recurrent abdominal pain, dyspnea and swelling of the extremities and face. Initial level of C3 and C4 was 83 mg/dl and 3mg/dl respectively. During angioedema attack, C1EI was 5.5 rag/d and C1EI activity was below 1%.
