Abstract
- Tenosynovial giant-cell tumor belongs to a group of lesions known to arise from the synovium of tendon sheath, bursae, and joint of hand, palm or wrist. We report a rare case of the tenosynovial giant-cell tumor involving interverteral lumbar spine. The histological and radiological features of this tumor are discussed along with a brief description of the disease entity. In conclusion, the tenosynovial giant-cell tumor is a benign lesion and is considered as an aggressive local recurrence. Additionally, radiation therapy is recommended to prevent a local recurrence.
