Abstract

We report a case of the syndrome of inappropriate anti-diuretic hormone occurred in a fifty-eight year old female patient who had received a vestibuloplasty under general anesthesia. Although the incidence of the syndrome of inappropriate anti-diuretic hormone after minor operation in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery is rare, if it is not treated adequately, it may cause fatal emergency situations. Therefore, we should be fully aware of the diagnosis and the treatment of the syndrome of inappropriate anti-diuretic hormone.
