Abstract
- Indeed, many guidelines emphasize the crucial role of cardiac rehabilitation (CR) and secondary prevention in managing cardiovascular disease (CVD). Despite their importance, these programs are often underutilized in real-world clinical practice. However, they play a significant role in controlling risk factors and reducing mortality rates associated with CVD. The article provides a comprehensive overview of CR and secondary prevention, covering various aspects from their historical development to contemporary approaches. By offering insights into the evolution of these programs and highlighting their relevance in modern healthcare, the article aims to increase awareness and promote their implementation in clinical practice.
