Abstract

Spinal subdural hematoma is a rare disease with high morbidity to significant neurological disorders and a high mortality rate. This paper reports a case of subdural hematoma in a patient who visited the clinic with sudden lumbar back pain, and urinary and fecal dysfunction, without trauma and bleeding tendency. The patient was at first misdiagnosed as a T12 epidural hematoma accompanied by a facet cyst. However, the patient was finally confirmed as having a subdural hematoma during surgery and was treated successfully. The objective of this case report was to demonstrate the image findings of this case and highlight the difference between an epidural hematoma and a subdural hematoma.
