Abstract

An intradural spinal arachnoid cyst (ISAC) is a benign cystic tumor rarely found on the dorsal side of the spine. A thoracic ventral ISAC (TVISAC) accounts for less than one-fifth of thoracic ISACs and is commonly caused by congenital neurological anomalies, trauma, or infection. Idiopathic TVISAC is extremely rare and has not been reported worldwide. The authors report a case of 46-year-old female with epigastric pain treated by a cyst fenestration of idiopathic TVISAC.
